Around 2 a.m. Saturday, two armed men wearing masks robbed the Chevron in North Plains.
Then around 1 p.m. Saturday, two similar looking men robbed the 7-11 stores on SW Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway.
The clerk told deputies that a man wearing a ski mask entered the store, jumped over the counter, and threatened her with a gun. She was able to activate an alarm, which sent the suspect running out of the store. She was not hurt during the robbery. Deputies investigating the robbery believe that the suspect jumped into a waiting black BMW 4-door sedan. They are not sure how many occupants were in the BMW.
The suspects in both robberies are similar, but detectives don't know whether the robberies are related.
