Jet Blue Offers Great Deals On Flights

Article Directory :: Travel & Leisure Articles

Jet Blue is one of the first choices for many travelers for trans-continental flights in the United States. They have built a reputation on offering comfortable seats, individual entertainment options at each seat, unlimited snacks and non-alcoholic drinks. The leather seats are wider than most airlines, and there is more legroom, meaning that on a five-hour or more flight, the chances are you will be more comfortable than on other airlines.

Jet Blue has also built a reputation for offering low fares when compared to other carriers. Since beginning in the year 2000, primarily between the New York market and Florida, they have grown to be one of the most popular carriers flying passengers non-stop cross-country. Pampering travelers has helped them retain a loyal customer base, and a straight-forward loyalty program has encouraged repeat travel.

Jet Blue offers cheap non-stop flights to Los Angeles from Boston, the New York City area, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Flying non-stop is preferable over a long distance because the time change is so extreme, and with stops along the way the trip becomes very long and physically hard. Jet Blue's customer service addresses some of the elements that make travel more comfortable.

When you arrive in Los Angeles, no matter what time of year, you will likely be met with sunshine. The climate in LA is pretty steady all year round, with a few weeks of rain in the winter months, but temperatures moderate most the year. The Pacific Ocean borders the western edge of the city, and the Sierra Nevada Mountains border the eastern edge. With sea and mountains on either edge, Los Angeles has many options for the visitor, not to mention the city itself, with its history of Spanish settlers, missionaries, artists and actors, and the whole movie business mystique. Today Los Angeles is a true melting pot, populated by people from all over the globe who have come to this city of dreams, attracted by the climate and the promise of dreams come true.

Some sites not-to-be-missed include Union Station, and the area surrounding the old train station. Union Station in Los Angeles is built in the old Spanish style of architecture. It has been well maintained, and reflects the early history of the city. There are rose gardens on the grounds. Near by the station is El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historical Monument. This is a collection of twenty-seven historic buildings and exhibits where one can view the Old Plaza Firehouse Museum, Olivera Street, Chinese American Museum, and many other sites. The area is full of small shops selling handcrafted items from Mexico and China. Los Angeles City Hall is also in the area of Union Station. The building is open to the public, and has an observation deck on the 27th floor which offers a panoramic view of the city skyline. A walkway around the floor outside is marked to let you know which buildings are in view. When looking for a cheap flight to Los Angeles, check out flights offered by Jet Blue at online discount travel sites.
