Ethical principles are prescriptive; not descriptive. Ethics is not about the way things are; it?s about the way they ought to be. No one is excused from the moral duties defined by ethical principles simply because certain individuals or groups regularly?ignore these?principles. And there is no dispensation for people in business, even in occupations which have adopted different norms of behavior.
