The positioning, design and make may determine a lot of things about a house. How lit or airy it is, how safe and hygienic it might be etc. But despite the importance that they possess, more often than not, they are overlooked and standardized. People usually do not pay much attention to them. This is strange considering the fact that the first thing that one notices when visiting a home is the door!

But there has been a major turnaround regarding this tendency in recent times. Doors have been recognized as an important part of interior decoration. Various types are being made with varying designs and features to fulfill the various requirements of different customers. Attention is being paid to even the minutest detail such as the doorknob. So now we even have such highly sophisticated doors with self-sanitizing UV doorknobs that kill germs and avoid hands getting contaminated. We also have such stylish and fashionable doors with inbuilt door handles. Even the easy going simple hands free bathroom doors are now available in the market. It is quite clear that a lot of innovation is going into the making to satisfy the varying requirements of customers all over.

Different types of doors (Or as the German term is T?ren )

Indeed when one goes on to explore the different types that are available in the market, one might be dazzled by the amount of choices that might be at hand. There are even doors that can be folded to form emergency earthquake shelters. Different types include standard hinge ones, bypass ones, pocket ones or folding ones. Standard hinge ones shut out all sound and they close off quite securely. Bypass ones can add an element of oomph to the appearance. Foldable ones are handy for closets while pocket ones are a good option for places with little space as they effectively fit in the wall. There are custom sliding ones that can be used in places with odd shapes.

It is thus advisable for customers to understand their requirement thoroughly before they move into the market. Given the range of products that are available in the market right now, it is almost certain that one would find the correct product to suit one's requirements.

Besides design, the other important thing about doors is the material of which they are made. The make should be decided after considering different factors such as the climatic conditions of the particular place. For example if the climate is cold then the providence should be made for the proper insulation, the frames should be tight enough and the material should be used accordingly.

Nowadays there are so many choices available that coming to a proper decision is a process that involves a lot of thought. Too many available choices have made it necessary to research and bag the best possible bargain.
